About Us
Foraging and the Rattling Bones are an old time string band based in the South Willamette Valley of Oregon. Inspired by hardcore punk and early 20th century field recordings of rural country and blues, they dig deep into the American folk tradition to find the earliest traces of punk rock. Sometimes referred to as “fiddlecore,” their furious and high energy performances have taken them from backcountry protests to intimate bookstore concerts. They released their demo LP “Deer Ticks” on the Winter Solstice of 2022.
